Myatt’s Field North Housing PFI, London Borough of Lambeth; Improving Sustainability across the proposal Still at bid stage.

The Myatt’s Field North PFI, London Borough of Lambeth, is for the reprovision or refurbishment of existing social housing together with new private housing, a park, retail and community centre. There will be 1000 homes in total.

Pinnacle Consulting is working closely with Regenter and all consortium members to ensure that we offer optimal sustainability benefits from this £100 million PFI investment. We are working with the construction, design, engineering, repairs and maintenance, housing management and facilities management partners. The benefits of driving sustainability from a strategic, level rather than from one discipline have been realised.

Whilst there are obligatory minimum standards for renewable energy, the Code for Sustainable Homes, Ecohomes XB and BREEAM (‘Excellent’ for the community centre), Regenter have a vision that sustainability will be much more far-reaching in the revitalised PFI area.

They want to join up all disciplines to achieve affordable best practice in sustainable place-making and management.

Pinnacle Consulting’s sustainability experts have:

• Engaged the whole team to be driven to achieve exemplary sustainability over the whole contract period (30 years).
• Ensured that propositions are continuously integrated with the cost model.
• Led the preparation and delivery of all sustainability communications to ensure that it is easy to understand, integrated and addresses lifestyles in addition to buildings. This includes sustainability method statements, detailed plans such as an integrated waste strategy and clarification questions.
• Ensured that all obligatory targets have been met and best practice targets are identified and addressed.
