Training in effective communications for waste professionals and community composting champions

In partnership, Garden Organic and WRAP offer training courses that improve attendants’ effectiveness, particularly at increasing the take-up of composting in the community.

In addition to practical composting skills, communication skills are a necessary focus. Pinnacle Consulting provides expert trainers to deliver a day communications training session. Elements included in the session are: engaging and motivating people, targeting audiences, selling, handling complaints, verbal and non-verbal communication and giving presentations.

Our experience of training and coaching is combined with an in-depth knowledge of sustainability and the barriers that come with it; engaging with the community is a core skill for effective sustainability practitioners.

Our trainers have experience of working with the key audiences for local authority waste professionals and community composting champions (businesses, residents and schools).

The school teaching and tenant involvement experience in our team, in particular, enables us to help give attendees strategies for dealing with different age-groups and audiences.
